Blue Dragon Program Vietnam at the VIETWATER 2025

Blue Dragon Program joined VIETWATER 2025 (22 – 24 October 2025) in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. On 25 October 2025, Partnership managers Birgitte de Kraker and Tjeerd Dijkstra introduced the Blue Dragon Program Vietnam at the Netherlands Pavilion at VIETWATER. The Blue Dragon Program is a partnership of the Dutch Water Authorities in the Mekong Delta (Vietnam) to exchange knowledge and experience in Water Resources Management. The existing partners to work with the Dutch Water Authorities are the governmental departments from Can Tho City and An Giang Province.

The partnership managers presented the contents, objectives and progress of the Blue Dragon Program in Vietnam which also includes capacity building and the implementation of the pilot projects. A brief introduction was provided concerning the ongoing pilot project in An Giang Province focussing on the use of nature-based solutions to prevent riverbank erosion.
