BLUE DRAGON PROGRAM MANAGEMENT MISSION ON MARCH 2026

Meeting between the Blue Dragon Program Managers and Provincial Partners to Update Progress and Discuss Future Cooperation Directions

On March 6, 2026, a meeting was held at the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City between the Blue Dragon Program Managers, Program Consultant and local partners, including the Leadership Board and focal points from An Giang Province and Can Tho City. The meeting aimed to update progress, review the mid-term report of Blue Dragon Program, and discuss strategic cooperation directions for the upcoming period.

In the first part of the meeting, the participating parties focused on updating the implementation progress of the ecological embankment pilot project in An Giang. The session dedicated significant time to reviewing and finding solutions to resolve current difficulties and obstacles, while creating a space to share practical lessons between An Giang Province and Can Tho City. Subsequently, delegates held a periodic meeting to discuss in depth the mid-term evaluation results of the Blue Dragon Program, thereby clearly defining the direction for the next phase (spanning from 2027 to 2030).

The Regional Workshop was also a core focus of discussion to unify specific contribution plans from the relevant stakeholders. At the end of the working session, attending members were presented with an overview of the Climate and Innovation (KIWI) program. The event concluded successfully, contributing to strengthening cooperative relationships and unifying the parties' action roadmap for subsequent phases.
